In October 2025, we were proud to invite members of the Veterans Can… community to nominate a Veteran-owned enterprise they believed deserved a £10,000 Veterans Can… grant.
This round saw 24 submissions from members running Ltd companies or CICs, which were carefully shortlisted to six finalists. After a spirited period of “electioneering”, those six were voted on by their peers – our incredible members.
We’re thrilled to announce that Dionne Ross, Founder and Director of Veritas VA Ltd, received over 30% of the vote! Dionne shared that, if successful, she would use the grant to market her growing business and to create a training programme for fellow Veterans. This initiative will empower associates to become skilled Virtual Assistants, helping them build meaningful self-employment opportunities that fit around their busy lives.

I’m genuinely overwhelmed and so grateful to the Veterans Can… team and community for this incredible opportunity. It means the world that so many people believed in what Veritas VA is trying to achieve. This grant will make a huge difference in helping us train and support other Veterans who, like me, have found the traditional 9 to 5 doesn’t always fit. I’m proud that this project will open doors for others to build flexible, meaningful self-employment.
